We are a company from Bermeo, in the Basque Country, that has been able to adapt to the changes of this dynamic and modern world. And all thanks to the loyalty and trust that our customers have placed in us since our origins.

One of our main challenges is to enhance the sustainability of our production without reducing its quality and food safety. To this end, we have implemented a global quality management system, from the design of the facilities, focused on optimizing the cleaning and hygiene processes, to the exhaustive control of the most critical stages of the production process.
Undoubtedly, our future strategy is quality, with R+D+i, new products, human resources, technical equipment, collaboration projects, quality standards (IFS) and more food safety.

Conservas Zallo products are an essential food for our daily diet and for a healthy and balanced diet and are a source of proteins that provide vitamins (e.g. vitamin B3 which helps to reduce cholesterol levels, promotes circulation). It is important to mention that all Conservas Zallo products are also suitable for coeliacs.
In Conservas Zallo we have the decision and commitment to seek the satisfaction and trust of our customers through the manufacture of high quality products and with the maximum Food Safety. Our quality management system aims at the continuous improvement of our processes, meeting both customer requirements and current legislation.
We focus our production on fresh product from the Bay of Biscay, supporting the “one by one” capture techniques of the local fishing fleets, thus avoiding the accidental capture of dolphins as well as the deterioration of the seabed. And with the help of the international MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) sustainable fishing certification, we offer the consumer an environmentally friendly product. At Zallo we actively work on the separation, minimization and recycling of cardboard, plastic and other by-products (e.g. fish waste and fats). We treat and purify all the waste we generate.

“If you search for Zallo on the Internet the first thing that will come up is: Conservas Zallo, Sonidos del Mar. Izena duenak izana du. Everything that has a name exists, says an old saying from our land”.
Francisca Zallo’s voice, one hand in her pocket and the other leaning on her inseparable cane, sounded clear and Deep from the speakers’ rostrum at the International Congress of the Sea.
Among the attendees, Park Jun Lee, the repository of the creative lineage of “La Rosa de los Vientos”, tireless researcher of Atlantis; Samuel Cuadrado, he does not want to say how he managed to survive five months on a ra in the middle of the Pacific; old Matthew MacDonald, an eminence in marine geology; Kyep Ombangui, an expert in marine rescue…
The meeting is at the foot of the Clis of Dover. A large pure white Crete grotto dotted with streaks of black flint, surrounded by the sea. They have come to talk about the sea, about the sea, in the sea, with the sea… but above all they want to listen to the sea.
Aitite, you’ve made a compass out of one of our cans! Laztana, when you don’t see me, just look at it. It will tell you where I am – he had replaced the cardinal points with the letters of our last name.
I will always carry it with me. I promise you that. No matter what happens. Wherever she is. We will always be together. The only compromise is that the contents of our cans represent the Sounds of the Sea.
“The Aitite named his boat Sounds of the Sea. He always said that the future was right there, that he wanted his boat to have a name that everyone would understand. When he said everybody, we didn’t really know what he meant
We would soon realize that he meant everyone! Every day when we see the boats arriving at the fish market in Bermeo, where we buy fresh fish, the “Sounds of the Sea” spirit is still present”.

We want to reward your loyalty, and we believe the best way to do so is by helping you save on your purchases. So, we’ll give you access to exclusive discounts and offers that you can redeem on your next orders.
